Three California-based companies are joining the 2025 REACH Commercial program, part of Second Century Ventures, the strategic investment arm of the National Association of Realtors®.
The companies selected nine firms overall for the 2025 REACH Commercial program represent a diverse range of solutions, including innovations in workflow management, property ownership, investment strategies, digital sales and leasing, carbon reduction and building operations.
Ben Wunderman, co-founder and CEO of Los Angeles-based Packsmith, is one of the new companies. Packsmith handles logistics, including shipping, delivery and storage of goods.
He said NAR’s program has an unmatched network across the real estate sector.
“With a massive consumer base and vibrant e-commerce ecosystem, California has seen the best and the worst of e-commerce and retail logistics as consumer buying habits have shifted,” Wunderman told GlobeSt.com.
“Logistics is about location, but optimizing California's underutilized suburban and retail locations is key to cheaper, faster, and more efficient distribution.”
John McIntyre, co-founder and CEO of Caltana, based in Los Altos, said the NAR REACH is a valuable program that helps proptech companies scale by offering deep industry insights and global connections.
“This helps our AI-powered pricing platform transform the $1.4T commercial real estate services market by replacing the manual process of using spreadsheets and emails to manage millions of price quotes annually,” McIntyre told GlobeSt.com.
“Our cloud-based solution is a reliable source of pricing data for property owners and service suppliers, including providers servicing the nearly one million commercial real estate properties in California.”
For Los Angeles-based Verv, the HVAC efficiency space can be a crowded field with numerous claims, according to its CEO, Peter Davies.
“REACH Commercial offers a trusted environment where relationships matter and results speak for themselves,” Davies told GlobeSt.com.
“We're excited to work alongside industry leaders as we expand our direct and licensing business beyond Europe into North America. Being selected by REACH, a technology scale-up program backed by Second Century Ventures, the strategic investment arm of NAR®, reinforces opportunities ahead."
